The Why

Support Resilient Soil Today

I chose to join Resilient Soil's board because I wholeheartedly believe in the company’s mission and its potential to make a meaningful impact within our communities. I was drawn to the mission, the leadership team’s love for God, and the opportunity to empower women through service that fosters opportunity, support, and long-term growth! I look forward to the opportunity to contribute my leadership experience helping to guide strategic decisions. Serving on the board allows me to support a forward-thinking organization while also learning from a group of talented, purpose driven individuals.

~Patrisha Williams

I chose to join Resilient Soil because its mission spoke to my soul... I know what it’s like to feel

buried by life’s circumstances and still choose to rise. I have been through moments where I felt

underestimated, overworked, or unseen. But God continued to remind me of my worth and

purpose. I joined this board because I want to pour into women the way I have been poured into.

I love making people smile and feel seen, and I believe joy is just as powerful as strength. I

believe deeply in helping others discover their resilience, their voice, and their calling. Serving

as Secretary is more than a title to me. It’s a chance to stay organized, committed, and focused

on helping our collective mission flourish.

~Dinasti Mosley

As a recent retiree, Resilient Soil is my second career. I chose to join Resilient Soil because I gravitated to its mission to serve and support the encouragement and movement of all women of different nationalities, advancing and helping to bring them together in one place, which is to plant seeds of resilience and water their soil to go higher and pursue their dreams with ingredients of self-confidence and strength. God chose me for this second career as a seasoned woman ready to pour into other women, with God helping to make their dreams into a reality as they fly like eagles. This commitment to this new charge unto God is my greatest joy. Thank you to our founder and CEO for “such” an honorable task and opportunity to serve on the Executive Board of Resilient.

~Doreen Smith

Resilient Soil came from my use of the Trinity, the “Father, Son, and Holy Spirit”, to overcome obstacles and periods of continuous long suffering. However, before I arrived at this point, I ran from my calling, sowing seeds on "Path Soil", hearing the word but not understanding it, which pushed me back into the wilderness. I then sowed seeds on "Rocky Ground" where I received the word with joy, but wasn’t quite rooted, and when faced with trials and tribulations, I walked away from my belief, knowing it, but not quite spiritually mature enough to stick with it. Then I sowed seeds on "Thorny Ground," still having one foot in the world and the other in my walk with the Trinity. I was still overcome by worldly cares, staying stagnant in my spiritual growth efforts. However, finally, I made a life-changing transformational decision to live for God and God alone… That’s when I began to seek the Lord for myself, fasting, praying, taking supplication to God, and laying out in front of Him. God shattered my glasshouse, then made me go back and shatter my glasshouse, myself. It was painful, but it was a release and a relief! I began to see myself and realized what I needed to change about myself, not worrying about people changing, but "Kahileelah" changing. Understanding that you can't change people, you pray for them while you're changing yourself... I learned how to be accountable and aware of God's perception of me, not man... I went to mental health therapy for healing, growth, forgiveness, and most of all, awareness. I had to seek wisdom and study the Word of God, reading self-help and spiritual books in addition to the Bible first. I leaned not to my understanding but relied on God for answers and clarification. I learned to stand still and seek spiritual guidance from my spiritual parents, my mother, other spiritual figures, and other people God placed along the way to sow seeds. I learned to be obedient to the will of the Lord and all leaders in my life. I became more proactive than reactive, with faith, transformation, and patience. Then I began to see a bountiful harvest that bore fruit, but not the fruit of the world, God's fruit! It was the transformation in me that was more tangible than anything else! I think differently, I speak differently, I react differently, I show up differently, I walk differently, and I look different. God gives you a glow that nothing can dim but him. This helped me realize that I was resilient, not by my might or strength, but God's given strength, which God gave to you and me to overcome longsuffering, yielding God's resilience through us. This gave me a desire to take wisdom from these experiences and give back, sowing seeds of resilience across the nation so others can stand on God's resilient soil… All this to say... I chose to serve because it just makes sense!
